Hopkins trailer wiring harness # 40455 is designed to fit a 2006 Ford Escape that came with the factory tow package. If you are not sure how your Escape is equipped a Ford dealer should be able to look up the VIN and tell you what options it has.

The other option is to use wiring harness # 118426 which plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring and can be used on an Escape with or without the factory tow package.
