Where to Place Fifth Wheel Rails in Bed of 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed

I need instructions on distance from back of bed to back rail or front. 2018 2500 chevy 4x4. I have 6.5 ft bed short bed and installing a reese r 16.

Ideally you would be installing a custom install fifth wheel rail kit for your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed like the Reese kit part # RP50066-58 which will have a distance of 24-5/8 inches from the rear edge of the rear rail to the rear of the truck bed. To place the front rail you'd use your Reese hitch set in the rear rails so that the hitch fits it exactly.
