I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2013 Mercedes-Benz ML350 and found that the vehicle has a 529 pound tongue weight capacity and a 6,613 pound towing weight capacity. I highly recommend verifying this information in your copy of the owner's manual, as its possible you have a slightly different model.
If you do not yet have a trailer hitch installed, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 76141 (as long as you do not have the Active Curve System). This Class III hitch is custom-fit for your Mercedes, which means it will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle that you can use for reference.
Then, for a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # 119250KIT. This is a universal kit that will allow you to install a 4-Way connector without having to cut or splice into your wiring. Its zero-contact interface sensors identify the current flowing through each wire by simply clamping onto it. I have attached the installation instructions for you to take a look at.
Lastly, in order to tow a trailer, you will need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains exactly how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple of articles on towing a trailer that you might find helpful.
