For your 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36241. I checked with Draw-Tite and this Class II hitch is confirmed to fit all models of the 2006 Grand Prix. I have attached the complete written instructions for your reference. This is a really nice hitch that will provide you with a 1-1/4 inch receiver to use for hitch-mounted accessories or some light towing.
