I need a 2.5inch ball mount with an 8inch drop. Im towing a 3500# 24foot enclosed cargo trailer. Probably total weight loaded is 5000#. Can you recommend a safe and proper product for me? Thank you!

We can offer you a choice of fixed and adjustable type ball mounts in your required 2-1/2-inch size that give you the 8-inches of drop. You can see all on the linked page.
For a fixed ball mount you can use Draw-Tite # 45291. Be sure to choose a hitch ball that has the correct 1-1/4-inch diameter shank to fit this, such as 2-5/16-inch ball # C40030.
If you prefer a multi-ball adjustable mount you might consider the Weigh Safe # WS8-25.
