Best Way To Carry 2 12 Foot Long Sit-On Style Kayaks on a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question:
I am looking for the best fit J style kayak carrier for the Rhino -rack Vortex Aero Crossbars RRVA137B-2. My kayak is a sit on style and is 12 feet long. Its relatively wide at the base so I didnt know if there was a rack that was made for wider kayaks. Ill be carrying two kayaks so I understand I need two sets of carriers. Thanks!

Since you have 12' long kayaks, the use of a j-style carrier is not recommend as the max length of most j-style kayak carriers is 10' long. I spoke to my contact at Rhino-Rack and they informed me that the best way to carry two wide based 12' long sit-on style kayaks is with a set of saddles like part # RR580. These saddles actually mount to your Vortex Aero Crossbars in the channels which should allow you to position them far enough apart to fit both kayaks. I also recommend using two of part # RRRBAS, one for each kayak for increase security.
