Recommended Grille Guard and Bull Bar for 2001 Chevy Tahoe

For your 2001 Chevy Tahoe I recommend taking a look at the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard which is available in either Black Powder Coated Steel # 40-0185 or Polished Stainless Steel # 45-0180. These are 1-piece grille guards that feature welded construction for strength and both models are bolt-on installation so you will not have to do any drilling into your Tahoe. For a bull bar I recommend checking out the Westin E-Series which is also available in either Black Powder Coated Steel # 31-5175 or Polished Stainless Steel # 31-5170. These bars have large 3" tubing, a skid plate, and also install by bolting on. The only thing you would potentially need is License Plate Relocation Kit for Westin Ultimate and E-Series Bull Bars # 32-0055 if your state requires you to have a visible front license plate.

The 40-0185 Do the brackets replace the tow hooks? What is the part number for just the brackets?

For the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-0185 the tow hooks do need to be removed. For the brackets you would want Replacement Hardware Kit for Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-018PK.
