Yes, I can confirm for you that the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118509 is a fit for a 2008 VW Touareg without a towing package. This harness will give you a 4-flat connector for use at the back of your vehicle.

When installing Wiring Harness # 118509 you cannot use the 12V socket in the boot area of your '08 Touareg, you will need to run the power wire to the battery. The reason you need to run it to the battery is that will eliminate the power draw on your VW's electrical system; using the accessory 12V socket you asked about was not designed to handle the additional load of a wiring harness and could ultimately fail.
