Question:

Will a Thule motion XT XXL be overhanging too much over a Mercedes glc. If so is that a problem?

The overall length of the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box # TH629907 91-1/2 inches, the width is 37-1/2 inches and the height is 18 inches. It's pretty common for roof cargo boxes to hang over the front and back of the roof of a vehicle but you'd have to compare the measurement to the length of your Mercedes GLC roof to see by how much. I don't have the year of your vehicle so I don't have a way to check to see if Thule recommends this box for your vehicle.
