Question:
I have been using my T2 2” inch for more than a year. I had to buy a new one, T2 2” for my new car, and I wonder if I can use my old one as an add-on extensions to the new one to carry 4 bikes

There are multiple versions of the Thule T2 platform style hitch bike racks.
If you have the Thule T2 Pro X # TH83GC then this cannot be installed onto another # TH83GC. In this rack you need to use the special lightweight expansion piece # TH55GC which is much lighter than the actual weight of rack so it is too heavy for use as an extension.
In general bike rack add-on expansion kits will use light construction than their similar but independent rack counterparts.
