Will this work with smaller-frame kids' bikes? what about tire sizes?

Yes, you can use the Swagman 3-Bike Stand # S64018 with any type of bike, whether it is a child's bike, adult road bike or mountain bike. The only restriction is tire width, which tops out at 2-1/2-inches. Bike weight is not an issue since the stand has sturdy 48-inch long steel frame.
