Question:
The yellow light is burning and I can not get it to test. Does that mean I need a new one, makes no noise when tested. The yellow light burn continually.

If the yellow LED light on your Atwood ProTechTor LP Gas Detector is continually lit, and you are not able to test or reset the unit with the TEST button, then there is a fault with the detector and it should be replaced.
For this, I recommend the Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector # AT36720. This particular unit can detect gas levels as low as 2,000 ppm and features a similar LED indicator system to your existing model. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also take a look at.
