Why Doesn't Draw Tite Hitch # 75761 Fit BMW X1 Models without Sunroof

Question:
Will this hitch fit my 2014 BMW X1? It does not have a panoramic sunroof. The description specifically mentions the sunroof, why does this matter? Do you provide a hitch that will work on a 2014 BMW X1 with NO sunroof?

I agree that is an unusual fit exclusion for your 2014 BMW X1, but the roof of a vehicle is a large part of the structure of it. Different roof types will require different frame setups. So what that means is that the versions of your 2014 BMW X1 that have the panoramic sunroof vs. the ones that do not will have different frame designs.
That is why the Draw Tite hitch part # 75761 that you referenced does not fit the versions of the vehicle that do not have the sunroof.

I have a sunroof on my 2014 BMW X1 it looks panoramic to me but a dealer suggested that it was not. Did they make different types of sunroofs for the 2014 BMW x1 x28i? I have the M version and it was factory direct Can I safely assume that my large sunroof is a panoramic one? I cannot imagine there were Different sunroof options but just wanted to be sure since the Capit guy suggested it wasn’t. Maybe the newer x1s have a different sunroof but could I still have a panoramic sunroof? Because I really would like a hitch to tow a teardrop trailer.
