Usable Mounting Space of Yakima RailBars on a 2008 Audi A4
Question:
Hello, I have a 2008 Audi A4 Avant Wagon with raised side rails. I am looking at purchasing the Yakima Railbar cross bar set up and was wondering what the actual usable mounting space dimension is. I believe I would need on small and one medium cross bar. How much distance is there between where the towers end so that you are actually able to clamp on the cross bar or utilize the t-slot? I know this will be less than the distance between the factory rails.

The front bar of the Yakima RailBar kit, part # Y00432-0433, for your 2008 Audi A4 Avant Wagon has 26.5 inches of usable crossbar, while the rear bar has 28.5 inches of usable space. You'll be limited by the smaller bar's available space.
