Greetings! I am currently interested in the Rhino-Rack 2500 Roof Rack - Naked Roofs or Fixed Mounting Points - 54 Long I read that it has a lock but it looks to be plastic? Wondering on the security aspect, most other applications show a metal lock? Can you confirm the construction?

I attached a picture that shows where the lock cylinders will be located on a 2008 Acura MDX like yours when installed. For your vehicle the needed parts are # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK176. The metal locks are included with Rhino-Rack legs.
