Could I see a picture of your coupler by chance? We have the Bulldog Lifelong Trigger-Style Coupler Lock # BD580404 which comes with a trigger lock and a 5/8 inch diameter coupler lock that has a usable span of 2-1/2 inches, but without more info on your coupler it's hard to say if that would be ideal.
