Recommended Lube Plate for Sidewinder King Pin

Question:

I wanted to order a Teflon plate for my sidewinder so I don’t have to use grease, I wanted to know the width of it? Thanks

Most sidewinders are about 12 inches wide and you also have the wedge to immobilize the connection at the hitch, so I recommend the Reese Lube Plate for Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10" Diameter # RP83002 if you are simply wanting a slightly easier connection. This is constructed of durable nylon (not Teflon) and is deigned to make connection easy and less messy removing the need for grease.

The lube plates are designed for pin boxes that rotate at the hitch, so even though they can be used with a Sidewinder, the sidewinder has an integrated plate it rotates on at the turret.
