Installing the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera on a 2013 Ram

Question:

I have this camera but it doesnt work on my 2013 Ram. Why not?

We have learned that the 2013 and newer Ram trucks do not provide enough voltage to power the Hopkins Smart Hitch, part # HM50002, simply by plugging it in to your truck.

In order to install the camera on your truck you need to hardwire the power wire into the reverse light circuit which is the center pin of your 7-way trailer connector.
