For a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva Sport, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75556. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" receiver tube opening. The hitch is rated for 400 lbs tongue weight (TW) and 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight (GTW). I have attached a review video of this hitch installed on a similar 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport for you as well.
For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend using the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness part # HM11141304 which is a plug and play wiring harness that will not require you to cut or splice any wires on your Captiva Sport. In order to tow a trailer you will also need a ball mount/hitch ball and for that the Ball Mount Kit part # 989891 will work well for you as long as the 3/4" rise and 2" drop is compatible with your vehicle/trailer.
