Among the rear hitch options for your 2001 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup we have both drilling-required and no-drilling options. This aspect of the installation is indicated under the heading Installation Notes.

To see if one of the no-drill hitches is a fit for your S-10 use the drop-down menu tool at the top of the page, labeled Select Vehicle Style. Choose your vehicle style to see if any of the no-drill options from Draw-Tite or Curt is a fit. For example, if you have the Sportside with non-towing bumper you can use Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75085 which is indeed no-drilling-required.

Front-mount hitches are also offered on both drill and no-drill versions; again these depend on the specifics of the truck. Front-mount Draw-Tite hitch # 65004 is a no-drill install on the 2WD S-10 with factory tow hooks. On versions without tow hooks it requires drilling.
