Question:

I have 5 wires coming from the truck, red, green, yellow, Brown and white, your kit 48205 does not have place for red wire. Do I need different model number or what to do with red wire? 1994 Ford Ranger

To install the Hopkins 4-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Kit - Vehicle and Trailer Ends # HM48205 you will want to check for functions. Color matching doesn't always work, so I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test each function. I've attached an article to assist.

If you choose not to hardwire your system, I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 40215 which is a fit for 1993 to 1997 Ford Rangers. This harness does have the 5 wire to 4 wire converter you most likely need for proper function.
