Replacement for 96 Inc Trailer Ramp Spring
Question:
I ordered the wrong capacity lift. I ordered Item # ERS160D96 which is 160 lbs capacity. When I reduce the tension on springs so the door stays open, the cables do not wind all the way in when door is closed. Can I use this unit with one spring?

I could not recommend you modify # ERS160D96 in any way; doing so could potentially be dangerous and there is no guarantee the unit would work as intended because was designed as a dual spring device.. I can recommend you replace your springs with the Trailer Ramp Spring # ERS80S96,which is 96" wide and and a spring capacity of 80 lbs. I've attached a link to a video review of this product for you.
