Can you hook up the HM50002 to the display in the dash board instead of using the dispay provided?

The factory display in your 2014 Ford F-150 would have to have the same input as the wiring for the camera in the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System Item # HM50002. It likely does not so you would have to modify the connector on the camera wiring and splice in the correct connector. Even then I can't guarantee that it would work.
Another option is Rear View Safety Backup Camera System for Ford F-150 and F-250 Pickup Trucks Item # RVS-F150.
