Fitting to a roof has more to do with the crossbar setup than the structure of the roof.

For a 2014 Kia Soul, you'll first need a compatible crossbar kit to fit the Rhino Rack Basket, part # RMCB to the roof.

I recommend the Thule WingBar kit, consisting of:

Thule WingBars, 53 inches, Silver, part # TH711400 or Black, part # TH711420
Thule Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501
Thule Fit Kit, part # TH145037

You can add locks to this setup with part # TH450400.

This kit is compatible with the Rhino Rack Basket, letting you fully use the basket. You'll want to verify your roof's capacity prior to loading the basket and bars. Your roof capacity will include the total weight of the bars (13 pounds) and the weight of the basket, (31 Pounds) before you add any cargo.
