The weight capacity of your winch really varies depending on what your boat trailer setup is like. If you have rollers then you can use a hand winch that is actually designed to pull less weight because the rollers provide no resistance. For a boat trailer that has long wooden bunks you would need a winch rated for at least the weight or your boat because of the extra resistance.

With that being said, one of our most popular winches, which has also received great reviews, is the Fulton XLT 2-Speed Trailer Winch - 10" Long Handle - 20' Strap - Zinc F142425. It features a 3,200-lb weight capacity, 2 speed options, and a 20' x 2" strap.

This winch is a great option for whatever your boat trailer setup is since it is rated for well over the 2,300-lb boat that it will be loading.

I have also attached a review video and a helpful article that you can check out.
