Is it ok to go through a car wash with the Thule TH92BJ platform bike rack?

With the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Hitch Mount # TH92BJ or any other accessory, it is recommended to remove the carrier prior to going through a car wash. The manufacturer's warranty will not cover any damages incurred if you have the bike carrier installed while using an automated car wash.
