Installing the Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks with a Rivet Tool

Question:
Quick question, it says a rivet gun is required. Is the standard pop rivet gun adequate or is a specialized rivet gun needed? I am planning on doing the install myself. Thanks in advance for your time.

For the Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks - Rivet Mount - 87" Long - Qty 2 # RRRTS547, I reached out to my contact at Rhino-Rack because we don't use a pop rivet gun for this assembly. They said a hand squeeze pop rivet gun will not be strong enough and that you will need to at minimum use a scissor rivet tool. I recommend using a pneumatic rivet tool.
You will also want to use a 5 mm drill stop to make sure you don't hit any wiring when you are drilling this yourself. This track kit does come with the rivets you need, so you will have the correct fit.
