Hello I recently got a truck and a kayak. I need help with finding a kayak rack. I was wondering what all the accessories I need. I was interested in the Darby extend a truck and hitch mount. I wasnt sure if I needed anything else

If you're considering the Darby Extend-A-Truck, part # DTA944-968-924, this includes the rear crossbar that you'd need to carry the kayak safely.
You will have to purchase separate tie-downs for the rack, such as the Thule Multipurpose Locking Straps, part # TH832, to secure the kayak to the rack. An additional foam block, like part #MPG172 can improve your overall ride and protect your kayak from damage. The Extend-A-Truck already includes one foam block, and a second will even out the provided protection.
Finally, you'll want to check your local laws and regulations for load flagging requirements. If your load is over a certain distance, you may need to flag the load for safety with a flag like part # EM05307. This flag has an integrated bungee cord, making attaching it to your load extremely easy.
