to use this tuner must a person do the on the 2014 cummins first or can u leave the factory exhaust on the truck

The Edge programmer part # EP31507 is designed for use with the stock exhaust setup on your 2014 Ram 2500 with a Cummins engine. You would not be able to delete any emissions related components and still use this programmer.
