Will Bumper Need to be Modified on the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2017 Subaru BRZ
Published 08/25/2017 >
Question:
I am interested n the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2017 Subaru BRZ, but have a couple of questions. Your info says that its a bolt on installation with no drilling. Does that include bodywork? Does the hitch come out below the bodywork, or do I need to put a hole in the bumper? Also, I have the handling package with updated suspension Sachs shocks and Brembo brakes. Will this still work? Thanks.

The design of the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 24935, will allow to install the hitch without cutting or modifying the bumper or body in anyway. The attached instructions will explain the installation procedures for this hitch.
As for the suspension or brake upgrades, unless the suspension dropped the OEM ground clearance, you will have no issues with this hitch. If the ground clearance has dropped then there may be an issues with the hitch receiver dragging when entering driveways or dips in the road.
