Question:

I have a new 2017 Toyota 4Runner. The trailer wire connector is tucked under the bumper and is a pain to get to and my current trailer harness/connector comes about 2 inches short from making the 4runner connection. Why they did this is beyond me. Is there a kit to move the existing connector towards the back of the vehicle or a short extension? Thanks

We do offer many types of trailer wiring extensions.

For 4-pole flat trailer wiring you can use 4-foot extension # HM47115 or 1-foot part # 9653P.

For 7-way trailer wiring we have 28-inch extension # TLW6028, 21-inch # TLW6021 or one of the others shown on the linked page.
