Your 2016 Ram 1500 Sport is rated for between 5,030 to 8,370 lbs towing capacity based on the motor and transmission combination. You will want to check your owners manual for more information.
As long as you truck is able to tow the 6,500 lbs, you can use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75232. The other Class III hitches are not rated for over 6,000 lbs without weight distribution. You could also use a Class IV or Class V hitch receiver.
