Difference Between Bargman 47-84-001 and Bargman 47-84-540 Double Tail Lights

Updated 08/10/2017 | Published 08/09/2017

Question:

Greetings Bargman Experts, What is the difference between the Bargman Trailer Lights - 47-84-001 and Bargman Trailer Lights - 47-84-540. One says it is white, the other is colonial white. One says it can be mounted horizontally or vertically, the other says nothing about mounting position. Your write up says they are both 10 x 7 x 2.5 inches. When I compare these two items on the Bargman site, one is 10 x 7 x 2.5, the other is 7 x 4.5 x 2.5 inches. Thanks,

I went out to our warehouse to take a look at both the Bargman LED Double Tail Light # 47-84-001 and # 47-84-540 referenced in your question.

I found that these two units do in fact share identical dimensions and mounting hole patterns. They are both 9-13/16 inches long, 6-15/16 inches wide and 1-1/4 inches thick. They both have a cutout dimension of 8-7/16 inches x 5-1/2 inches. In terms of their size and mounting dimensions, these units are identical

When comparing the two items, I found that the only true difference between the two models is the type of white color that is used for the base. The Colonial white on the Bargman # 47-84-001 is more of an off-white shade, while the 47-84-540 is a brighter, more pure white.

I have included images of the two products attached side by side, so you can see the subtle difference between the two colors.
