How do you wire up a brake controller on a 2002 avalanche 2500 4x4

To install a brake controller, like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195, on your 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche you will simply need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3025-P. The adapter will connect to a port that is in the electric junction box which is beneath your driver side dash (see attached pictures). If you do not have a brake controller already I highly recommend the P3 due to how easy it is to install and use.
You will also need to install the Hopkins Replacement Custom Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors # 30955 at the rear of your Avalanche as well.
I have attached some videos of these parts being installed on similar Chevy Silverado pickups that you can use as references.
