i ma buying a recumbant bike , will i have to but a different carrier?

We have recumbent bike racks that will work well for you, but the Helium is not designed for a recumbent so I cannot recommend it for you.

The Hollywood Racks # HR1000Z-R is designed for use with recumbents like yours so it would work great for you.

I attached a picture that shows the rack loaded at the rear of a vehicle as well.
