Question:
Hi ,I bought one of your hitches for my 2004 deville . Why do I need to buy the power inverter u sell for the trailer hook up wiring? I hooked it up without it. It works. Will I have problems down the road? Thank you.

The need for a trailer wiring harness like the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C59236, depends on how you plan to use the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 36287.
If you are planning to tow a small trailer, then you will need to install the Curt trailer wiring kit to allow the lights on the trailer to be connected to the your Deville. The kit will wire into your existing vehicle wiring and will provide a 4 pole plug to connect to the trailer's electrical wiring.
I have attached a product video for the Curt Wiring Harness, # C59236, for you to review.
