Is the Red or Black Wire the Ground on the Wiring Harness of my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:
my wiring harness for a 7 point plug does not have a white wire for the ground but it does have both a red and a black wire. Is the black wire the ground?

Chances are the red wire is the power source and the black wire is the ground wire. However, I would recommend that you use a circuit tester, part # PTW2993, to test all of the functions of your harness while a friend applies the different brake/tail light functions of your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500.
Once you have found a power source, you could use that to test the black or red wire for being a ground.
