The best way to select the correct weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) set-up for your Ram 2500 and Lance 2375 travel trailer is to measure the trailer's actual tongue weight (TW) when you have the trailer fully loaded; water and propane tanks filled, food and supplies in place and all your sporting gear loaded, just as you usually will load them.

The trailer's specs show a dry hitch weight of 550-lbs but certainly by the time you load the trailer your actual measured TW will be substantially higher, more like 800- to 900-lbs. The best way to measure trailer TW (and the easiest) is with scale # e99044.

The other part of your total TW is anything heavy in the Ram that sits behind the rear axle, such as a generator or cooler. Since this weight is behind the rear axle it will appear just like TW to the WD system so you need to account for it and add this cargo weight to the actual measured trailer TW. With this total TW figure known you can choose a properly-rated system. Ideally the total TW will fall right near the middle of the system's operating range.

I notice that your Lance has a molded housing just behind the tongue jack; if this limits your access to the frame members where the lift brackets need to mount we do have options for you. Part # EQ37100ET from Equal-I-zer works for TW from 600- to 1000-lbs so it would be ideal for a total TW of 800-lbs. This system's frame brackets are smaller than most, about 2-inches wide, so they can be easier to fit on many trailer frames. These will mount between 27- and 32-inches rear of the hitch ball. This systems is all-inclusive; all you might need is a thin-walled socket like # EQ70-00-4800 for installing the hitch ball.
