Question:
#1 Are the holes for the 2inch Drawtite Hitch Code: 75673 in the same place as the Drawtite 1 1/4inch Code: 36493 for a 2017 Subaru Outback? #2. Is the 1 1/4inch hitch above Code: 36493 compatible with the 2017 Subaru Forester? The same product comes up using your ion tool but the code #s are different. thanks!

Any custom-fit hitches made for any given vehicle, even if they are from different manufacturers or are different hitch classes, will mount to the same areas on the vehicle frame. This is because there is one best location to install a hitch based on the frame design and weight capacity.
Both the 2-inch Class III Draw-Tite hitch # 75673 and the 1-1/4-inch Class II # 36493 are confirmed fits for the 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon.
I went to our warehouse and measured the mounting hole spacing on both hitches and found them to be the same. Along each hitch's mounting flanges the four holes' centers are spaced apart at the following intervals: 4-3/4-inches, 7-3/4-inches and 1-1/2-inches.
In general a 2-inch hitch offers higher weight capacity and broader compatibility with the majority of hitch-mounted accessories available than the 1-1/4-inch Class II type.
