Hi, I see that there is no nut on the bottom but is there a way to adjust the tension on the claw on this model. Thank you,

My contact at Demco confirmed with me that claw on the 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler, # DM15337-97, is not adjustable.
The coupler is pre-set from the factory and cannot have the tension adjusted on the locking claw.
If you are having an issue with the coupler latch, then you may need a repair kit. The Demco Latch Repair Kit, # DM5817, will replace the current latch in your Demco coupler.
I have included a video that shows how to replace your current latch with the latch kit.
