Does Utility Trailer with 5.30-12 Tires Require Load Range C Tires

Question:
Bought a used utility trailer, made in Ontario, Canada.....max load of 2090lbs. It has 5.30-12C listed on the decal for tires.....however it has 5.30-12 load range B Carlisle Sport Trail tires??? I hauled stuff about 150 miles last week, no issues...but after really looking at things I wondered should I buy some load range C tires? I mostly will use to haul a golf cart around. Thanks to the experts! Scotty

In the tire size of 5.30-12 the Load Range of B is 840 lbs per tire. That means that it has a max total capacity on a trailer of 1,680 lbs. If your trailer is below that weight when loaded you'd be fine as-is.
If you do need the full capacity of the trailer you would need to upgrade the tires to the Load Range C like with part # TTWSF53012C.
