Wire Color Guide for Wiring 4-Way to 7-Way and 4-Way # HM40975-11998

Question:
I am writing in reference to a previously answered question with subject line 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 7-Way Recommendation to Fit Bumper Cut Out Jameson C answered the question stating that we can cut the 4 way connector off of part # C56282 and then hardwire it to the part # HM40975-11998 then it would fit nicely in the opening that is already on the bumper from the factory. When doing the wiring, is it as simple as connecting the 4 corresponding colors, or do the colors not match up? Also, what about the 3 additional wires, simply cap them off if we do not need 7 way?

The colors of the # HM40975-11998 would not match up with the 4-way you cut off of the # C56282. The yellow wire of the 4-way would run to the red wire of the 7-way, the greens would match, the brown wires would match, and the white wires would match.
So aside from the red to yellow the colors would match.
