Recommendation To Make A 1-1/2 Inch Diameter Jack Compatible With A Caster Wheel For 2 Inch Jacks
Updated 05/23/2017 | Published 05/21/2017 >
Question:
I have a 1999 Jayco pop up camper and I am looking for a wheel for the jack. Your Attwood AT80259 is the closest thing I can find that may work however, the diameter of my jack is 1 1/2. Could I wrap duct tape around the jack, so when I put the above wheel on it, it fits better? I would only use the wheel when I am in my garage. When I am out camping, I have a hard plastic support I use to go under the jack. Thanks for your help.

The Atwood Caster Wheel AT80259 is for 2 inch diameter jacks and has been discontinued. I recommend using a caster like # PS1400750340 that has a metal base with a pin and using a piece of metal tubing from a local hardware store as a sleeve to give you that extra diameter for a strong fit between your jack and the caster. I recommend drilling holes in your jack and sleeve to make the caster compatible with the pin for security.
