Im looking for affordable options for hauling my kayak on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Long Bed. I have Yakima HandRoll and Mako cradles. They are both designed to fit round or square bar systems. I expect that I will need either the Mightymounts, or Universal Mightymounts, but want to make sure I have a complete solution in the truck rack and mount adapters. Thank you.

The ladder rack I recommend for your 2005 Dodge Ram is the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Ladder Rack # Y01137-Y00410. This ladder rack has 66-inch long round crossbars and will work well with your HandRoll Kayak Carrier, part # Y04035.
With this ladder rack you will not need to use the MightyMounts # Y03590. The HandRoll and the Mako saddles will fit the crossbars included with the # Y01137-Y00410 roof rack. The Yakima ladder rack is not a lot more expensive than ohters and does not require the added MightyMount adapters.
