Does Prodigy RF Brake Controller Have to be Paired to Every Vehicle it is Used With
Published 05/19/2017 >
Question:
We had to hook up to another vehicle to pair and it worked fine with that vehicle. My question is since we successfully paired will we have to hook up to a different vehicle every time we use the BC? Or once paired forever paired?

Just the remote of the Prodigy RF part # TK94FR is what pairs to the rest of the controller. No part of the setup actually pairs to any vehicle so you can easily transfer the setup to a new vehicle and not have to worry about re-pairing it.
A lot of times with German vehicles like your Mercedes GL350 we find that we have to recommend people pair it with a different vehicle since the wiring of the trailer harnesses is a bit different. But once paired you can bring the controller back to the Mercedes and it works fine.
