Can a Ladder Rack be Used With the TruXedo Soft Tonneau Cover TX746601 on a 2008 Dodge Ram

Since the TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX746601 mounts in the bed of your 2008 Dodge Ram and it is a soft tonneau cover you can use the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-501 as a ladder rack. The TracRac SR mounts on the side rails and will allow you to roll up your tonneau cover, but you might not be able to use the folding feature. This is the only ladder rack option which fits your Ram and doesn't have to be mounted on the inside of the bed rails.

Also, since the TruXedo Cover sits inside the bed rails you can use other accessories that only use the stake pockets, but only without the TracRac SR being installed.

Just one more question. It looks like there is no security...anybody passing by could access the bed. Is this true there is no way of locking it? That would be a concern.

That is correct, there are Velcro strips that secure the cover along the length of your truck bed. The only roll-up option for a tonneau cover that allows you to lock it and that can work with the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TA21501-03 is the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK39203. This is actually my favorite tonneau cover because it has the sleek look of a soft tonneau cover but also the strength and security of a hard tonneau cover. With the tonneau cover closed and your tailgate shut and locked the Revolver cannot be opened. The cover can actually hold up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight to give you an idea of how strong it is. I have also linked a review video for you to check out as well.
