Expert Reply:
The Weather Tech Easy-On Stone and Bug Shield Deflector, part # WT50199, can be attached to your 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty with either the 3M automotive adhesive tape, or fasteners that use existing holes in the vehicles hood.
The mounting brackets are attached to the underside of the hood with tape or fasteners, so if you use the tape it is not to be directly applied to the paint surface of the hood.
The mounting brackets that attach to the underside of the hood will allow the deflector to not touch the hood, but it will lie very close to the hood. It will allow some room underneath the deflector to wash the vehicle , but to wax underneath the deflector might be a little more difficult.
