Should Battery of Vehicle Be Disconnected When Installing Hopkins 7-way part # HM48470

Question:

I would like to purchase HM48470 to replace my existing 7-pole RV trailer connection enabling use of LIWSR1-7B and my tow dolly with a 4-flat connection. Do I need to disconnect the chassis battery before installing this product?

I would recommend disconnecting the vehicle battery before installing the Hopkins 7-way part # HM48470. It would be very easy to short out the bare wires of this kit when wiring it up.
