Question:

I have been looking at your offered options for wiring harness kits. My Motorhome is a 1993 georgie boy. I noticed you recommended part # 119178KIT on someones previous question. I am confused by what system uses the combined brake and taillight wire system and if the recommended harness 119178KIT is compatible with my 93 georgie boy motorhome wiriing. Thanks

If a vehicle has separate amber-color turn light lenses then it uses a separate lighting system. If there are not separate amber turn lights this means the system combines the stop/turn signals onto a single circuit.

This is how a harness kit like # 119178KIT works. It takes in the separate stop light signal (on its red wire) and inside the converter module it combines this with both the right and left side turn signals. The green wire then carries right stop/turn signals and the yellow wire carries the left stop/turn signals for a connected trailer with combined lighting.
