Question:
Subaru Outback 2012 3.6R Limited. Want to install Draw Tite part #75673. My car has an extra piece on the rear bumper called a bumper under guard. Its the light gray plastic add-on piece, purely decorative, shown in attached photo. It extends maybe an inch at maximum below the main bumper. I want to know if the hitch will clear this bumper underguard. I dont want to have to cut it.

Yes, Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75673 will fit your 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6R with that bumper under guard. I have included a picture from a customer that has the same piece on their bumper.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And for trailer wiring you can use # 118467 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the vehicle. I have also included some links showing example installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
